The Tourism Trend of Installing City Signs Has Made It to Gastown

Today, we’re back at Maple Tree Square fine-tuning the details on the new Gastown sign we installed on August 14th.

It’s always a thrill to be part of public art projects across the Lower Mainland.

For this installation, we first dispatched Tony with crane unit 1186 to transport and assemble the five 4′ x 8′ 3/8″ pieces of the sign. At a total weight of 3,571 lbs., with the heaviest piece weighing 1,200 lbs., precision was key in navigating the bustling downtown location. With traffic control ensuring pedestrian safety, we successfully brought this iconic piece to life, enhancing the vibrant atmosphere of Gastown.

Today, Kayden is on-site with crane unit 1196, and we’re just loving every moment of it!
