Mastering the Lift by Exploring the Different Crane Control Systems

Operating cranes involves different types of control systems, and our team utilizes them both.

      1. Remote Control: This option provides crane operators with mobility, allowing them to move freely around the job site for optimal visibility and safer positioning, and also offer tactile feedback. With remote control, the operator isn’t confined to stay by his truck or in the cab, making it easier to assess lifts from different angles and distances. It’s also a good choice in hazardous environments, keeping the operator at a safe distance.
    1. Manual Control Levers: A more traditional method, these levers are located in or near the operator’s cab. Manual controls give a tactile feel to the operator, with precise and responsive control over the crane’s functions. Operators can quickly assess and adjust movements based on the crane’s feedback, which is particularly useful for complex, detailed tasks.

Both methods have positives; remote controls provide safety and flexibility, while manual controls offer hands-on precision and direct response. The choice between them depends on the specific job, site conditions and operators’ preference. What’s yours?
