Elevating Artistry: Crane Work Meets Creativity at Bear Creek Park

We are thrilled to share the excitement of another public art installation and this time we headed at Bear Creek Park in Surrey to install it.

Renowned for our expertise in handling intricate art projects, we had the privilege of working with Crystal Services and Brandon Vickerd, an Hamiltonians artist with 20 years of experience. Brandon holds a BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and an MFA from the University of Victoria. He further enriched his art knowledge with a stint in Italy, where he had plenty to learn from sculptors such as Michelangelo, Bernini, Benvenuto Cellini, and Andrea Briosco.

As always, this project involved craning to carefully and precisely place five of Brandon’s stunning bronze pieces on the outside wall of the new stadium at Bear Creek Park, one of Surrey’s 800 vibrant parks. The sunny day and lively atmosphere of the park, highlighted by the presence of small school children playing all day in the playground and utilizing the park in its fullest, added to our delight. The Surrey tourism association, present with a booth, informed us about the park’s extensive offerings. Let’s just say that being there all day was not a hardship. Meeting Brandon and understanding his artistic vision was also an enriching experience that made this installation truly special.
