Crane + Movers = Magic in Motion

Last month, our 100-ton COPMA crane was in full action in a narrow alley of Vancouver. The mission? We were tasked to hoist out the 16,200 lb chiller from the building that houses Hootsuite, Slap Happy Cartoons and RBC Data Center and features “The Natural Law” mural created by FAITH 47 during the Vancouver Mural Festival in 2018.

Once the piece was out, we then place a brand new chiller in its place.

Working in such a tight alley meant zero margin for error. And since it’s hard to visualize just how impressive it was… we’ll let the photos do the talking Isn’t it incredible?

Of course, we can’t take all the credit. Our client, a highly skilled Industrial Moving company, brought the expertise and precision needed to pull this off. They guided the process every step of the way – and we appreciated their clarity and professionalism.

We are often asked: what is the difference between us and an industrial mover? So if you are also wondering, we’ll make the answer simple. We are a truck and crane company – our specialty is transporting, lifting, hoisting, and placing heavy equipment with precision. While industrial movers are the boots on the ground – they handle the physical moving, positioning, and often time disassembling/reassembling of machinery. Their main tools are skates, forklifts, pry bars and a whole lot of muscle.

Together, we make the impossible look effortless.
