Phoenix Truck & Crane Celebrates New Yard on Kwikwetlem First Nation Land

Port Coquitlam, BC — Oct 2, 2024 — Phoenix Truck & Crane is proud and deeply honored to announce the opening of our new yard at 2650 Pitt River Rd, Port Coquitlam on the sacred land of the Kwikwetlem First Nation (KFN). To mark this momentous occasion, we invited our entire team to join us on Truth and Reconciliation Day for an intimate grand opening, celebrating the unity, respect, and understanding that this land represents.

This heartfelt gathering, held on September 30th, was not just about opening a new space but about recognizing the profound connection we have been granted with the Kwikwetlem people and their history. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the land, our staff came together to reflect on how privileged we are to be trusted with this space. We are incredibly grateful to the people of KFN for their graciousness in allowing us to operate on their land and for granting us the permits needed to make this vision possible.

Every team member who was in town on the long weekend joined us, demonstrating the deep respect we all hold for Indigenous culture and the values of stewardship, collaboration, and gratitude. The opportunity to celebrate this day together felt like a privilege, a reminder that our connection to this land goes beyond business—it is about honoring and appreciating the history and future of the Kwikwetlem First Nation.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the KFN for their generosity, trust, and the opportunity to be stewards of this land. We are excited about what is to come and are committed to honoring this partnership as we continue to grow.
