A week full of “helper’s High”

Last week has been a “charitable” week for Phoenix Truck & Crane and specifically our driver number 282 and his 24 foot 5 ton van!

Offering our freight services as ‘work in kind’ is something that we can do for organizations such as Share Food Bank, Dogway Dog Rescue Society and You Wear It Well, that have specific logistic needs.

From delivering pet food to Mission, loading clothing items in Vancouver to moving all the collected donations for this year Boutique Day Event to Surrey, Moe (driver 282) has been driving around.

Scientists believe that altruistic behavior releases endorphins in the brain, producing the positive feeling known as the “helper’s high” – and we couldn’t agree more. After spending some time helping Richard, Cherry, Darcey, Kathy and all the other volunteers this past week/weekend, we feel fabulous this morning. There’s something inexplicably satisfying in giving back to our community and we trust that this is one of the reasons why our driver brought along his daughter Nazahah. Nazahal was with us from start to finish yesterday and her congeniality was much appreciated!

If like us, you’d like to help and make a palpable difference in the lives of other people, we would be pleased to guide you and put you in touch with some of the organizations we are involved in.
