It’s in us to give

Phoenix was pleased to come back and sponsor again the 24th Annual Mike Cassidy Legacy CF (Cystic Fibrosis) Golf Classic that was once a small golf tournament raising $25,000. With the help of the trucking/transportation industry, the event has quickly grown to become the largest privately generated source of funds for Cystic Fibrosis Canada in British Columbia, raising over $5 million.

Our participation always reminds us the importance to give to this hereditary disorder that often results in respiratory infection and early death. According to the Annals of Internal Medicine study published in 2014, the life expectancy for people born and diagnosed with CF is 37 years for females and 40 years for males.  CF is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults which makes it even harder to believe that no cure has been found yet.
