Lights of Hope Campaign

The annual Lights of Hope display takes up to six weeks to build and requires a lots of moving parts before the opening night!

Each year, Phoenix Truck & Crane has the opportunity to take part in this wonderful campaign, by providing complimentary transportation and crane services. The scope of work that Phoenix provides is the transport, loading and unloading of two large containers, which house the entire display of lights – 100,000 bulbs! Delivering them from the storage facility in Langley to St Paul’s Hospital for set-up in November, then returning the containers after the display is dismantled in January.

Contributions like ours go a long way, with a total of $31.7 million raised since the inception in 1998. This year fundraising efforts reached over $3m and are going towards St. Paul’s Teck Emergency Centre, ground zero for the current opioid overdose crisis. Donations are funding take-home naloxone kits and training for ER patients, as well as younger patients cared for at the Granville Youth Health Centre.

If you missed this year’s community celebration, keep your eye open for the spectacular display which starts at the end of November and runs through the holiday season.
