HIRING – A Junior Crane Dispatcher

Scope

The Junior Crane Dispatcher is responsible for supporting the two Senior Crane Dispatchers, performing a wide range of duties. This position will be mentored by a variety of people, very experienced in the industry; learning the fleet of cranes, tractors, and equipment, with the goal of stepping into dispatch when needed. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working team player, work well in stressful situations and thrive in fast pace environments.

Job Description Details

• Answer incoming dispatch calls
• Achieve a high level of knowledge of the Phoenix fleet of vehicles and equipment
• Apply for a variety of permits, make ferry reservations etc.
• Provide dispatch relief when needed
• Field phone calls and emails from other departments and customers
• Communicate daily with crane operators, office staff, customers
• Perform any other duties as they arise
• Be a self-starter

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Crane industry knowledge an asset
• Dispatch knowledge an asset
• Experience using Internet Dispatch System (IDS) an asset
• Strong computer skills required
• Ability to remain calm while working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
