Coquitlam, BC, June 30, 2016 – Phoenix Truck & Crane is raising the bar in the fleet industry by attaining the Certificate of Recognition (COR™) on Tuesday.
In BC, COR™ is a voluntary program that recognizes and rewards employers who go beyond the legal requirements of the Workers Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation by implementing a health and safety management system. COR™ is awarded to employers who successfully pass a COR audit and whose account is in good standing with WorksafeBC. The COR program is aimed at driving positive workplace behavior and practices that lead to constantly improving safety performance.

Phoenix Truck & Crane’s commitment to health & safety goes well beyond the average since they have taken the initiative to train their 130+ owner operators to make the entire company COR certified. “SafetyDriven – Trucking Safety Council of BC helps companies throughout British Columbia in the trucking and moving and storage industries get safer. Phoenix is the first large employer in the trucking industry to take this extra step.
